Cycle time
For cycle time, Socratic automatically measures the elapsed calendar days from the time work starts on a task or an objective, to the time it’s completed. So, if work begins on a Monday and finishes the following Monday, its cycle time is 7 days.
As part of the correlated metrics for task cycle time, we show:
Time in exception states (flow efficiency)
Merge time (for tasks with code events)
Time by work phase, to spot any bottlenecks
Time by work type (e.g. defect, critical, or any labels)
